Lamont Symphony Orchestra
Special guest conductor Bryant Denmark opens the evening with William Grant Still's Serenade, then vocalists from Lamont Opera Theatre will join the orchestra to perform a selection of beloved arias and ensembles. The concert concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2 in D Major, an early work full of exuberance, humor, and vitality.

Lamont Wind Ensemble
The Lamont Wind Ensemble celebrates Black History Month with music by Florence Price, Valerie Coleman, Omar Thomas, and more. “Dual Stride” by Kevin Day features soloists Richard Harris (trombone) and David Byrd-Marrow (horn). The final work on the program, "Come Sunday" by Omar Thomas, is a gospel revival work emulating the role of the Hammond Organ in Church services.

Experience the transcendent beauty of J.S. Bach’s Cantata No. 147, Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, performed by the Lamont Chorale. The program will also feature a world premiere by M. Roger Holland, II in honor of Lamont's Centennial.
